A truly AMAZING person. I use his “Last Lecture” as a touchstone all the time.

I cried when I heard the news at lunch.
He was a gift.

Oh wow. I knew it was going to happen, but I was hoping it wouldn’t, ya know?
What an amazing person he was. He has left such a legacy to his children.
I’m feeling a lot of mixed emotions over this.
Wow.

I posted about this, too. I was also inspired by him and his story.

Such a strong man. His story is so touching. And, a brilliant man in his field. My husband told me all about him from the scientist point of view. I didn’t know so much of that. Just the lecture for his children.

I have been without words ever since I heard that he had passed. I know in my heart of hearts that the world was given him as a gift, and it’s now up to us to take his lesson and apply it on a scale that would have surprised even him.
But I can’t get past the fact the a young family has lost an amazing husband and father far too soon. I know there’s a higher purpose to all of this, but it’s wrapped up in too much pain for me to bear.
May his memory forever be a blessing to us all. And especially to his family.

makes you realize just how stupid self-pity really is.
