You know how there are certain quotes, that when you hear them, you wish you’d come up with them? These are some of my favorites — subject to change, of course, depending on my mood or changes in medication…
That’s redundant, isn’t it?
“Education is when you read the fine print. Experience is what you get if you don’t.” – Pete Seeger
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” – Les Brown
“Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty — they merely move it from their faces into their hearts.” – Martin Buxbaum
“If you sit by the banks of the river long enough, the body of your enemy will come floating by.” – Unknown
“In raising my children, I have lost my mind but found my soul.” – Lisa T. Shepherd
“You were born an original. Don’t die a copy.” – John Mason
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.” – Unknown

One of my faves is “I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” from the wise Louisa May Alcott.

The one about waiting to criticize people, is one of Jack Handey’s Deep Thoughts. Not sure about the other “Unknown” one, but it sounds like Sun Tzu.
