I learned of Lisa too late — by the time I found her incredible blog, she was dying. I never talked to her, or exchanged e-mails, or twittered with her. Her journey was too personal for a complete stranger like me to invade. Yet I read her blog, and the comments, and realized that she was an incredible human being with an incredible story.
She was a mother and a wife. And she’s gone.
When your heart breaks for someone you never even met? That’s a testament to the person who put herself, and her journey, out there.
Rest, Lisa.

I also discovered her near the end. When it seemed some were sort of “bailing”, too depressed to read the end of her life I was wishing I had found her much sooner so I could have known her better and straight thru to the end.
Very sad. My thoughts are with all who meant something in her life.

I found her after losing my bookmarks about the time she decided to stop treatment. My heart just broke for her and her family – it’s even more broken today when I read the blog this morning.

I just read through her last month or so of posts, and my heart is broken. What a sad story–I hope she knows how many people her life touched…

I don’t remember ever reading her posts, and now I’m glad of that. I hate losing people I look forward to reading. Rest in peace, Lisa.

I found Lisa about the time she went into Hospice. I didn’t know her well, but still I mourn the loss for her family. RIP
