Well, well. Election day is here. After today, there will still be opinions, there will still be rhetoric, there will still be a lot of folks that think the wrong guy won.
But there won’t be any divisive commercials, there won’t be radio spots that turn the stomachs of most levelheaded people, and there won’t be mean-spiritedness disguised as information.
And I can live with that.
What I cannot live with is how politics can make otherwise reasonable people absolute raving lunatics.
The sun is going to come up tomorrow regardless of who wins tonight. I, for one, am going to go outside tomorrow and enjoy it.
I hope you do, too.

The sun will come out, but won’t necessarily shine – it’s the UK here! If it does, I’ll go out. Otherwise, I will enjoy another rainy day in with a bunch of words.

It’s beautiful here too. The Evil Twin and I voted early and got our grocery shopping finished – all by 11 AM. Now, we relax for a bit.

I can’t wait for it to be tomorrow, because all the politikkin will be over.
At least for the next 3 years or so.

Hear, hear.
I am pretty surprised that I’ve allowed my own politics to take up as much of my blog as I have this year. I never really did before, but it’s been such a big part of my every day for so long, it seemed disingenuous to omit it there.
But after tomorrow, whatever happens, I plan to get my blog back to focusing on the really important thing that used to saturate all my time: ME!
Ha!
You’re a superstar. Have I mentioned that lately?

Americans aren’t the only ones who want life to get back to normal! It’s Thursday down under and I’m still waiting for a result! You’re right about it being divisive and polarising though . . it’s been a nasty 21 month campaign and there’s been something featured on the news about it for the whole damn time!

Amen. Although politics are always more or less apparent, the dosage over the past several months has been near lethal. It is a welcome break.
four 4 four on my blog!

God, I miss Ronald Reagan. He was probably one of the best presidents in my lifetime. of course, I was young when he was president, but just reading about what he accomplished makes me wish he were still around and in charge!

Reagan was right!
I will be supremely happy when there are no more political ads on TV!!

You said it, sister. If I never hear from Joe The Plumber again, it will be too soon.

I am dedicating tonight to Cartoons.
