Tomorrow, February 1, is Wear Red Day. Click on the image for more info! As most of you know, my dad died of heart disease and my mother suffered from it for twenty years prior to her death. Heart disease is the number one killer of women. Please wear red in order to increase awareness of this very special cause.

In that case, you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be wearing red tomorrow and thinking of you all day long!

All of the women in my company are wearing red tomorrow for this very reason.

I have my red dress pin on my shirt. I love that you posted on it. My mom had heart disease. I was born with a heart murmur. And, my grandmother had heart disease. It’s everywhere.
Have a great weekend.

Done.
And see? You don’t have to be brilliant all the time. Just be Wordnerd once in a while!

Damn these time zones. It’s the 2nd here! I missed the boat What a great idea, we don’t have it here just a plethora of ‘ribbons’ to be worn for a variety of causes. And I agree with Kingfisher, it doesn’t have to be creative to be valid.

I wear a bit of red nearly every day, including my “Have a Heart” bracelet. Heart disease comes in so many insidious forms. I wear my red bracelet to remind me about those things I can do to try and prevent it. Awareness is always a good thing.
